In honour of International Women's Day, Old Girl Elizabeth Newton (née Whyatt) visited the Girls' Division to share her seven life lessons with current pupils. Now Head of Professional Development at London Business School, she was able to offer advice and guidance through an inspiring assembly and later a masterclass with Year 11 and round-table questions with the Sixth Form.
We recently caught up with a group of Sixth Form students and recent leavers who have received Oxbridge offers, to find out more about their experiences applying to the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge. Read interviews with each of them here.
Year 5 pupil Miley danced with members of the Birmingham Royal Ballet Company at the end of February. She appeared in two acts of their production of 'Swan Lake Dreams' after months of rehearsal and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience.
With the Bolton School campus closing for the majority of pupils at the end of the day, staff across the Foundation have worked hard throughout the week to ensure that learning will continue seamlessly for all. The Heads have reminded parents and pupils that it is 'business as usual' for most, but from home and remotely rather than in school buildings.
