Victoria in Year 11 will this year help to provide student insights and perspectives on exams as a member of AQA's new Student Advisory Group. She visited London this week for a Parliamentary Reception to launch the group.

Old Boy Rt Hon Sir Ernest Ryder, who recently returned to Bolton School to give the Tillotson Lecture, has been named the next Master of Pembroke College, Oxford. He will take over the role from June this year.

Year 6 pupils from the Junior Boys' and Junior Girls' Schools enjoyed taking part in the National Young Mathematician's Award regional heat! The two teams combined lots of different skills, including teamwork and presentation skills, to hopefully impress the adjudicators with their solutions to maths problems.

Year 2 pupils at the Infant School stepped back in time to experience the Titanic disaster with the Freshwater Theatre Company. During the workshop, they used their imagination to build the ship and find out what it was like to be a passenger on board in 1912.

Finally, a repository of blogs covering a wide range of topics written by the Heads of both Senior Schools are now available online. Find them via these links: Girls' Division Headmistress Sue Hincks and Boys' Division Headmaster Philip Britton.
